Red Entertainment in association with Watersmeet, Rickmansworth are pleased to announce Housewives On Holiday, the eagerly awaited follow on to the hilarious comedy sketch show Hormonal Housewives and penned by the same Julie Coombe and the show’s director John MacIsaac.
The brand-new comedy which is set to tour the UK stars the Legendary Nolan Sister Maureen Nolan and welcomes back the return of Hormonal Housewives Julie Coombe and Josephine Partridge.

Julie is a writer, actor, comedian and has appeared in numerous productions at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe. Her performance in Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues inspired her to create Hormonal Housewives with producer Michael Harrison and her co-writing husband, John MacIsaac. Hormonal Housewives toured to full houses in the spring and autumn of 2019 and was produced by Red Entertainment.
Julie’s TV credits include BBC TV’s River City; STV’s Take The High Road while her comedy credits for the BBC include the sketch show Revolver and the sitcom Millport.
John is a prolific actor, writer, director and teacher: his numerous theatre credits include Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens (Traverse), Babes in the Woods (Glasgow Pavilion), Jack and the Beanstalk (Ayr Gaiety) and many more. John has written comedy for BBC Radio Scotland’s The WhyFront and Scotland on the Couch and has directed dozens of shows at the Fringe. He co-wrote & directed Hormonal Housewives, 2019’s smash hit comedy sketch show, with Julie Coombe.
Dublin born MAUREEN NOLAN has been singing professionally since she was eight years old as part of family singing act ‘The Singing Nolans’. The Nolan Sisters had a string of TV appearances to their name, including The Harry Seacombe Show, The Vera Lynn Show, Basil Brush and Roy Castle’s TV show. Following a busy debut year the Nolan Sisters were chosen to accompany Frank Sinatra as the opening act on his 1975 European Tour.
Further TV successes saw them guest star on prime-time TV shows The Les Dawson Show, Wednesday at Eight, Night at the Casino, Seaside Special, The Tommy Cooper Show and The Marti Caine Show alongside several others too numerous to list on a short resume of Maureen’s career. Career highlights at this time included their first Summer Season (with Ronnie Corbett) a New York engagement for two weeks as the opening act for Engelbert Humperdinck and guest starring on the entire 1977 series on BBC One’s The Vince Hill Show’.
Since embarking on a solo career Maureen Nolan has been constantly in demand. Initially she successfully auditioned for the leading role of Mrs. Johnstone in Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers. Maureen played the part to critical acclaim in the West End before going on tour with the show.
After her initial season as Mrs Johnstone, Maureen toured the UK with Mike Holloway in Stardust before re-joining Blood Brothers for another season. Other credits include ‘Girls Behind’, ‘Mum’s The Word’, ‘The Naked Truth’, ‘Over The Rainbow – The Eva Cassidy Story’, ‘Menopause The Musical’ and the National UK tour ‘Footloose’.
In The Mood For Cruising aired in last year starring Maureen, giving the channel, Quest Red, their highest ever UK made programme rating.
Josephine is a graduate of Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and is based in south Wales with her husband, two young children and her dog. In 2017 she played the leading role of Marlene in Caryl Churchill’s classic 1982 play Top Girls and joined the cast of Hormonal Housewives in 2019. “It was my first theatrical tour,” says Josephine, “and I just had the best time performing with Julie Coombe and Vicki Michelle – we had a blast every night and the audiences were amazing. I’m delighted to be going out on tour again this autumn and I’m looking forward to Maureen Nolan joining us – she doesn’t know what she’s in for!” Josephine has a physical fitness background and is training to be a personal trainer – like her character.
